It is the last week of Women's month in South Africa and a lot of women will be saying goodbye in a big way and some will just prefer lunch or dinner out, myself included. It is always good to go out and enjoy a restuurant meal with loved ones, but do you keep the meals as healthy as possible? It seems like an easy decision to buy that platter of marinated spare ribs and hot wings on the side instead of settling for some deliciously seasoned grilled chicken and a green salad on the side right? Wrong! It is important to have fun eating out while consuming healthy meals. www.medicinet.co.za. Eating out with girls to bid farewell to women's month is a great idea. Here are some tips to keep it as healthy as possible:

that high in fat chocolate mousse.

  • Go easy on the cheese
  • Replace that chocolate mousse dessert with fresh fruit or a fruit salad.
  • Limit or no fried food
  • Drink Red wine instead of White wine
  • Choose grilled meat as opposed to fried or braaied
  • Skip that tempting casserole, unless you know what's in it
  • Choose light salad dressings
  • Eat in small portions

So ladies, and some gents, lets bid farewell to Women's month in healthy style while preparing for the Sring season! We have to look healthy and happy in our Spring outfits!

  1. as important as eating healthy is, the tips you recommended sound a little too healthy. it is dificult to tone down on the fried foods, they are a great part of most peoples dietary needs. dont forget to remind people not to abuse the health aspects of red wine

  2. It doesn't sound or seem too healthy, you just love eating fried food. But do remember not to eat too much of it though.

  3. Yes, healthy eating all the way. it's Spring, we have to look after our bodies plus bad food make you sweaty and smelly and we do not want that.

  4. Maintaining an overall healthy diet, does not only offers your body the energy and nutrition that it needs to function or to do certain activities, but offers several health benefits as well. But I prefer fast food because its cheaper, quick and easy to prepare. The taste is so magnificent, and I am sure that most people prefer fast foods than healthy diets. Some healthy food tastes horrid can't imagine the smell.

    1. I get what you are saying Loyiso, but you should always keep in mind that fast food is not at all good for your health. There are a lot of healthy great tasting dishes you should try. I think in the near future I will blog about different recipes or rather add a link to magnificent dishes you can try yourself.

    1. You don't have to cut the junk food all together, just indulge with limitations. Do not eat a lot of junk food and nothing healthy, rather eat a lot of healthy food and just a little of that "junk".

  12. I guess people need to remember to be aware of what they put in their bodies as they seem to have become complacent in our modern fast paced world.

  13. The sad truth is that people do not have the time to think about their health and well-being. Everyone is caught up in their busy lifestyles so much that their health is not a priority anymore.
